The present day Factory of hand and agricultural tools company Tokos has its origins in the very ancient tradition of manufacturing scythes and sickles, as well as in the traditional location where the production has been going on without interruption ever since 1744. Company resides in a unique Slovenian, traditional handcraft town Tržič, located on the sunny side of the Alps. |

There were great changes in the factory’s history. One of the first owners to be mentioned is Field Marshal Joseph Radetzky, the man to whom Johann Strauss dedicated his famous Radetzky March. Then the first daughter of the Ahačič family, Barbara, bought the plant and machinery from the Factory and moved into it their hundred-year-old family craft. After the Second World War the factory was nationalised and was in State ownership for fifty years. However, the majority shareholding of the Factory was returned to the descendants of Dr. K. Ahačič and in 2008 the Company was taken over by Mr. Adolf Štruc. |
